What we do

Our Services

We are here to help you get the most out of your transmission. We specialize in everything from rebuilding to replacement, so we can get you there no matter what your needs are!

Transmission Service

When transmission fluid breaks down, it leads to corrosion in the parts and clogging in the narrow passages within the transmission. A faulty transmission system can cause increased wear and tear in a vehicle and lead to an unpleasant driving experience.

Our technicians have experience working on all types of transmission systems and vehicle models. Our transmission service involves a thorough inspection, cleaning, and replacing the old transmission fluid with fresh long-lasting fluid and a protective conditioner to get your vehicle’s transmission back in optimal working condition.

Transmission Rebuilding

Regardless of how you maintain your vehicle, it will need transmission service at some point. At Lee’s, we can help you decide if your transmission needs a repair or a complete rebuild.

Depending on the extent of damage, we can determine whether to replace just the worn-out components or the entire unit. Our expert technicians will offer you a detailed assessment of the problem and help you make an informed decision on the best course of action.

CVT Transmission Repair & Rebuild

CVT Transmissions use a unique pulley system with cones at each pulley connected to a chain belt. There are specific symptoms indicating a vehicle needs a CVT replacement or rebuilding, and only trained technicians can understand the unique functioning of CVTs.

If you are experiencing signs such as shifting, slipping, shaking, power loss, etc., and feel that your CVT transmission needs diagnosis, Lee’s transmission is the right place to visit. We have been addressing transmission problems for a long time, and our expert technicians can provide maintenance, repairs, or rebuild services for automatic, manual, and CVT transmissions.

Your clutch is subject to wear and tear as it is an essential component of your daily driving experience. FAQs

What is a Car Transmission?

A car transmission is that part of the vehicle that transfers or transmits the rotational power generated by the engine to the car’s wheels. It cannot get any simpler than that. Unfortunately, like the way car engines work, there are a lot of things that are occurring all at the same time in this process of transmitting the energy from the engine to the wheel. And we are going to go through them one by one so you’ll have a better grasp at just how car transmissions work, regardless of their type.

How often should I have my transmission checked?
For preventative maintenance it is recommended that you visit Lee’s Transmission annually for FREE diagnostics and Free road test or as per manufacturers specifications.
Why Does Black Smoke Come Out of the Tailpipe?
Although it is normal for smoke to come out of a tailpipe, it shouldn’t be black. When the smoke is black, it means that there are a lot of toxins in it that can pollute the environment. For instance, there might be carbon monoxide mixed inside of the smoke. It is important for you to get the catalytic converter inspected, as it might be causing the problem and need a repair.
How can I check the level of transmission fluid?
Depending on the manufacturer, there are different procedures for checking the transmission fluid. To check the level, most cars have a “dipstick.” or you can consult the owner’s manual. You can always visit us to get an inspection.
I have issues with my transmission. Do I need a new one?

Not always. An exterior issue can frequently be fixed effectively and affordably! Additionally, we may repair or rebuild your transmission for much less than a replacement or remanufactured one if it shows out to have a serious issue.

Why does the transmission fluid turn to a dark brown or blackish colour even though I changed it recently?

The red dye in the fluid changes colour quickly since it is temperature-dependent, and if your fluid is doing so, your transmission is probably overheating for some reason. It’s possible that the issue is transmission slippage or a lack of lubricant. If you are experiencing this issue, it is time to have it examined by one of our experts.

I have the "CHECK ENGINE" light on. Could this be a sign of a transmission issue?

Indeed, it might. Bring the car to Lee’s Transmission so that we may access the onboard computer and check to see if any codes indicate a problem.
